About This Soundtrack
Suicide Squad (2016) brought a vibrant and eclectic energy to the DC Extended Universe, blending high-octane action with a rebellious aesthetic. The film's musical identity was central to its marketing and final presentation, mirroring the chaotic nature of its anti-hero ensemble. As these villains are thrust into a world-saving mission, the music serves as both a rhythmic backbone and a narrative tool that highlights the unique personalities of characters like Harley Quinn and Deadshot.
The musical landscape of the film is divided between an orchestral score and a star-studded compilation. Academy Award winner Steven Price composed the original score, providing a dark and driving foundation for the film's action sequences. Meanwhile, music supervisors Gabe Hilfer and Season Kent curated "Suicide Squad: The Album," which features modern hits like Twenty One Pilots' "Heathens" and Skrillex's "Purple Lamborghini," alongside rock classics from Queen and CCR, creating a diverse listening experience that spans multiple genres.

About the Movie
In response to a perceived apocalyptic threat, intelligence officer Amanda Waller assembles Task Force X, a team of the world's most dangerous incarcerated supervillains. Imprisoned in Belle Reve, criminals like the expert marksman Deadshot and the chaotic Harley Quinn are forced into service. They are sent to Midway City to neutralize a mystical, ancient entity known as the Enchantress. To ensure cooperation and prevent escape, lethal nanite bombs are implanted into their necks, giving military leader Rick Flag absolute control over the expendable squad.
As the mission progresses, the reluctant antiheroes must navigate a warzone overrun by mutated monsters while dealing with internal betrayals. Their objective is further complicated by the Joker, who launches a chaotic rescue plan to reclaim Harley Quinn. Despite their disparate personalities and criminal pasts, the squad members must find a way to unite. They risk their lives to save the city, fighting for a chance at redemption and reduced prison sentences.
