Anniversary is a dystopian political thriller directed by Jan Komasa (Corpus Christi, The Hater) from a screenplay by Lori Rosene-Gambino. The story centers on the Taylor family, headed by Georgetown professor Ellen (Diane Lane) and restaurateur Paul (Kyle Chandler). Over a span of five tumultuous years, their affluent, close-knit family dynamic begins to split at the seams as a controversial, rising authoritarian political movement known as 'The Change' sweeps across the United States. When their son Josh (Dylan O'Brien) introduces his new fiancée, Liz (Phoebe Dynevor), a former student of Ellen's and an ardent supporter of the movement, tension escalates into a full-scale clash of political loyalties and familial devotion.

Produced by Lionsgate and Fifth Season, the thriller boasts a star-studded ensemble cast, including Zoey Deutch, Madeline Brewer, Mckenna Grace, and Daryl McCormack. The film's sonic identity is crafted by the award-winning composer duo Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans, who constructed a tense, string-heavy orchestral score that captures the creeping dread of the political regime and the heartbreaking collapse of the family unit.
